It's hard to believe that the weekend I've been planning since last August has passed. Yep, 8 months of on and off planning. With the amount of weddings and wedding events occurring this year, we wasted no time claiming the dates we wanted for Jackie's bachelorette party.
And in order to spread out the costs of a weekend like this, I was able to book my flight by mid-October and the house rental was secured by the beginning of November (and we had been drooling over it ever since!). Even though I may be Jackie's matron of honor, this weekend would not have come together as smoothly as it did without the help of the other bridesmaids. And all of the guests were so easy to plan with too! Seriously, Jackie has an amazing group of girlfriends. We had such a great weekend.
While I continue to pair down the hundreds of photos taken over the course of the weekend, here is the first half of Jackie's bachelorette party weekend in Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC. And a house tour of the "best beach house ever."
First things first, a few of us decided to fly into Charlotte, NC where Jackie and her fiance Adrian are now living. It was such a reasonable flight and it was so nice to be able to see their new neighborhood. Knowing Jackie would be driving down to Charleston, we figured we'd accompany her for the ride.
After taking a driving tour of the area, we had dinner at a local burger bar that was delicious.
Jackie and 3 of her bridesmaids.
Happy little family
Pretty Lola!
When we got to Charleston Friday we did a little walking around before hitting the first Rooftop bar we could find, ironically named the Rooftop Bar.
Cheers to Jackie!
Sisters!
Bridal Party!
First girls to get to Charleston
Quick view of the city before making our way to the house
Palm Drive, Isle of Palms
Yes, that would be our unbelievable house rental.
And now for the quick house tour I took before things got crazy -
The master suite
Bedroom & Bathroom #2
First floor hallway down to master suite
Bedroom & Bathroom #3
Bedroom & Bathroom #4
There was one more bedroom & bathroom that I guess I missed. It had 2 sets of bunk beds for 4 of the girls to share. The fact the every bedroom had its own bathroom was a huge plus. In total there were 5 bedrooms, 5 1/2 bathrooms and plenty of overall space.
Second level deck, stairs to roofdeck
View of raised pool from the roofdeck
Fun decorations!
(Jackie's birthday was the week before the party)
Once the decorations were done, the party began. :)
More pictures to come!
